Welcome to the Tombow and Stampendous Winter Wonderland Blog Hop! If you just came from Janelle’s blog, you are on the right track! If not, you may want to start here at the Stampendous Blog so you are entered to win a prize! This is a three day blog-hop that started on Friday.

IMG_1367

For this project, I choose two stamps from Stampendous; ‘Snow Bird’ and ‘Tis the Season’. I’m also trying out Stampendous’  new ‘Spoonful of Snow’ which is a mixture of embossing powders and elements.

IMG_1368

From Tombow I used Irojiten Colored Pencils, Color Pencil Eraser, Ippo Sharpener, Glue Pen and Dots Adhesive.

IMG_1373

I stamped the Snow Bird onto blue pastel paper with a black ink pad. I then used the Irojiten Colored Pencils to color the bird. The colors blend and layer beautifully, and you get that added bonus of having them work so nicely on colored paper.

IMG_1372

I then used the ‘Spoonful of Snow’ to add the snow. I am really excited about this product, pure genius! Watch this video on how to use it! The Glue Pen was used on the snow on the berries and branches to keep the snow to stay in place, and the rest was sprinkled over the panel. I used a dry, clean brush to remove any bits where I didn’t want it and then embossed from the bottom with my heat tool. The results were spectacular!

IMG_1371

Here is the completed card. I also added a few plastic snowflakes on with the glue pen. The edging was done with a VersaMark stamp pad and dark blue chalk. I really liked how nicely the snow and Irojiten colors look on the blue colored panel!

IMG_1374

Here’s my attempt to show you how sparkly the card is! It’s very sparkly!

IMG_1073

Welcome to the final day of the  TombowUSA  and Precious Remembrance Shop  Blog Hop! If you’re here from the Tombow Blog, then you’re in the right place!

IMG_1071

I used the Coffee Love Stamp Set from the Precious Remembrance Shop and some cardstock from DCWV Sunshine Stack. This is a very simple holder designed for those yummy instant iced coffee packages. I see me using the coffee cup stamp a lot! I used Xtreme Adhesive to fold the paper and create the pouch. The Dot Adhesive runner for the paper panels and Foam Tabs to lift up the lid and center of the coffee cup. To apply the trim, add a line of Mono Multi Liquid Glue, and let it dry clear. It will be super sticky and will hold the trim firmly in place. A green Dual Brush Pen colored the small motif accents.

I used the Oh So Fun Stamp Set from the Precious Remembrance Shop and some cardstock from DCWV Sunshine Stack. I loved the cute jar stamps that were stamped out and colored with the #312 Dual Brush Pen – the perfect jar color! I used the Dot Adhesive runner for all the paper panels and Foam Tabs to lift up the flowers and ‘celebrate’ panel. The flowers were made by gluing a flat clear marble onto a punched out flower with Mono Multi Liquid Glue. I also added a little silver bullion wire into the jar for extra bling! A black Dual Brush Pen added the flower stems for the finishing touch.

Blog Hop with Ellen from Chilly Dog! July 25, 2014

Filed under: Cards,Dual Brush Pens,Tombow,Tombow Adhesives,Tombow Dual Brush Pen — mariebrowning @ 10:00 am

Another great blog Hop with a talented designer, Ellen from Chilly Dog! You can also win a fantastic Tombow prize for playing along! If you have come from Jennie’s Blog, you are on the right track! If not, you will want to start at the Tombow Blog! For this post I’m showing you how to draw a simple “Doodle Cat” that you can color using the Dual Brush Pen Bright Set! This is easy enough for the children to do, so give it a try!

IMG_1830

Using the MONO Twin Permanent Marker, use the broad tip to draw the first two steps. Then with the fine tip, add the details. Keep the doodles to decorate the cat simple and large. Vary your cat to be large or small, fat or skinny! This pen NEVER bleeds into the Dual Brush Pens making it the perfect tool for drawing!

IMG_0880

Color your cats with the Dual Brush Pens using the indirect coloring method. This method uses the Colorless Blending Pen and Blending Palette from the Blending KitThis coloring method gives the cats a nice graduated basecoat. Fill in the doodled details using the Brush markers at full strength for maximum color!

IMG_0880

If you look closely, you can see the white whiskers, created by drawing them on with the Glue Pen before adding the colors. I also used the Glue Pen to add transparent fine glitter to the details.

IMG_0879IMG_0878

Here are two more card ideas done with the “Doodle Cat” design. This time, I glued on googly eyes using the Glue Pen. Have fun with this simple drawing project creating fun cards or bright framable drawings!

Debbie’s “You Are My Sunshine”Challenge July 14, 2014

Debbie has put out a challenge of “You are my Sunshine” to create something for summer and yellow! I haven’t shown a new DoodleDab lately, so here is a Sunny Sunflower using Tombow products!

IMG_0755

DoodleDabs are created with the Dual Brush Pens. The tough nylon tips stand up beautifully  to  ‘dapping’ the brush tip down to create the teardrop stroke. This stroke is all you need to learn to make over 40 different DoodleDabs! Simply follow the steps to make the sunflowers using 925 Scarlet, 025 Light Orange  and 195 Light Green Dual Brush Pens.

IMG_0758

Here is a panel showing a sunflower sprouting up to a tall sunflower and a friendly ant waving hello!

IMG_0756

IMG_0757

Don’t forget to accent the front of your envelope with some sunflower DoodleDabs!  I used Foam Tabs to raise up the main panel, MONO Dots Adhesive to attach the panels and rick rack and a light brown Irojiten Pencil to edge all the panels.

Want to learn more DoodleDabs? Stay tuned, my book “Brush Marker Magic” Design Originals Publication will be out soon and includes oodles of step-outed DoodleDabs!

Blog Hop with Elizabeth Craft Design April 20, 2014

Thanks for joining us with the Tombow and Elizabeth Craft Design Blog Hop! If you just came from Kelly’s blog, you are on the right track! If not, you may want to start here to be able to win a great prize!

IMG_3509

I created several pieces for the hop. This card is a cute little owl that used the silver Owl Circles peel-off colored with the Dual Brush Pens on Watercolor Paper. The background panel is blue pearl paper embossed with the Flower Mosaic Embossing folder. The panels are attached using the Dots Adhesive and Foam Tabs give a fun dimension to the finished piece. I also used Mono Multi Liquid Glue to attach the Happy Birthday die cut and googly eyes.

IMG_3511

This card looks great in person! The subtle coloring with Dual Brush Pens on the silver Dragon ladies peel-off contrasts nicely with the dark background. After coloring, I cut the dragonfly lady out and attached it to the front panel using Foam Tabs and Mono Multi Liquid Glue for dimension. The peel-off sheets come with smaller details to make your finished creations ‘pop’ with these layered pieces. I used the Happy Birthday die and lots of rhinestones in the peel-off boarder and smaller embellishments. The Mono Multi liquid glue was used to attach this extra bling.

IMG_3513For my final project I used a gold Owl Circle peel-off colored with the Dual Brush Pens. Again, both  the Dragonfly Lady and Owl were done on Elizabeth Craft Design Watercolor Paper. I glued it on a dollar-store memo pad with the New Xtreme Adhesive. A little bit of washi tape around the edge and it’s done! It would make a great gift for the upcoming Administrative Professionals Day along with a Fine Pen from Tombow!

Blog Hop_ECD_2Look at this wonderful Prize you can win! From Elizabeth Craft Design, a selection of Peel-Off stickers, Watercolor Paper, Double-Sided Adhesive Sheets, Congratulations Die, Stand Up Helpers Die Set and Warm Diamond Silk Glitter. From Tombow the new Xtreme Adhesive and the 10 pack Retro Dual Brush Pen Set.

Blog Hop with Regina Easter April 11, 2014

Welcome to the hop! We will be hopping with the Tombow design team and guest designer Regina Easter! If you just came from Jennie’s blog you are on the right track! If not, you may want to start here.

IMG_3499I got these wonderful stamps from Indigo Blu and used them to create a colored string for  Zentangle inspired cards. It was so easy and fun to create them.

IMG_3495Choose your colors of Dual Brush Pens and color the stamp. I like to use a combination of at least three colors for the flower and two colors for the leaves for a nice variety.

IMG_3496Next, use the mister filled with water and spritz the colored stamp.

IMG_3497IMG_3498Stamp the image onto a piece of smooth watercolor paper. The Dual Brush Pen colors stay nice and brilliant! To define the strings in the flower, refer to the stamp package and use the MONO Twin Permanent Marker when the image is completely dry.

IMG_3501IMG_3500

Here is the finished card complete with tangles and a saying around the edge. As I used a heavy watercolor paper, Xtreme Adhesive was perfect to attach the finished panel to the card.

Tombow and Stampendous Blog Hop March 21, 2014

Welcome to the Tombow and Stampendous Blog Hop! If you just came from Jamie Martin’s blog you are on the right track! If not, you may want to start at the beginning at the Tombow Blog!

House mouse chart IrojitenFor this hop, I started by making a new House-Mouse Color Chart using Tombow’s Irojiten Colored Pencils! All the super-cute mice from this very popular Stampendous collection are here! The Irojiten Colored Pencils are so easy to use and blend to add the colors, you will love them for the mice! Here are some cards I made using the House-Mouse Stamps and the Irojiten Colored Pencils. The paper stamped with the images is Mix Media paper from Canson, the decorative paper is ‘My Sunshine Stack’ from DCWV  and the solid colored cardstock from Bazzill.

IMG_3461This card used the ‘Knit Gift’ Stamp and features Amanda and Muzzy. I also used the ‘Friendship Assortment’ Stamp Set for the sentiments. The wool wrapped around the card was a nice extra touch. I love coloring Muzzy with the Irojiten Pencils, it’s fun to add long strike strokes to his fur to make him extra fuzzy! I used the new Xtreme Adhesive to attach the yarn wrapped panel to the card. Tombow’s Foam Tabs and Dots Adhesive was also used.

IMG_3462Isn’t this card cute? I loved coloring it! The stamp is ‘Balloon Trio’ from Stampendous and features Mudpie, Maxwell and Amanda. To make the shiny balloon embellishments, I glued flat clear marbles onto scraps of paper with Multi Liquid Glue. Let dry, cut them out and attach to the card with the Xtreme Adhesive. I also used the Dots Adhesive for the paper panels and added a bit of washi tape for added accent.

IMG_3463My final card was created using the ‘Warm Cup’ Stamp. Here little sweetie Mudpie relaxes in a nice warm mug. I followed the coloring theme and picked nice paper and embellishment colors to match. Again the Dots Adhesive holds the paper panels and a little drop of Multi Glue for the rhinestone.

We will have three lucky winners for this blog hop! The prize includes a Stampendous! Jumbo Cling Stamp, Jumbo Perfectly Clear Handle and a Retro 10 Dual Brush Pen Set!
